Mining Equipment
Mining equipment is manufactured according to EN standards and in compliance with the ATEX directive, and is appropriately marked with the Ex symbol, indicating explosion-proof or anti-explosion protection. Most of these machines also bear the I M2 symbol, which, according to the ATEX directive 94/9/EU, represents:
- Group I – the symbol for the underground parts of mines,
- Category M2 – equipment suitable for use in mines that may be exposed to mine gases and/or flammable dust.
